Legal and ethical

When making this documentary our group had to consider the legal and ethical decisions such as :


Permission: In order for us to film in the store casino shoes , we had to gain permission from the manager in order for us to film in the shop and to ask the employees questions. We also had release forms that was given to the manger to sign.

Copyright: we had to make sure that our documentary idea was not taken from someone else and it was our original idea

We made sure that everyone who participated in our documentary was not discriminated because of their age, gender or ethnicity. Everyone was treated equally

.Health and safety: we had to carry out risk assessments so we were aware of the dangers whilst filming and how we could prevent these dangers

The thin red line at the top means that the clips are not rendered and this could cause the videos to freeze , or to lag. So I had to render the clips and by doing this I had to click sequence which is at the top bar , then press render effects in and out and this makes the videos run smoothly and then the line goes from red to green which means the clips are rendered. The blue bar is for the video and the green bar is the audio.

When editing, the screens are split into two, on the left hand side is the video that I have picked out to edit and changes can be made to it whilst it is showing on that screen. The right side is for the edited  clips.

I created a folder and saved my videos and work in the file called Abigail's documentary. For me to access this file I had to go into the documents file and It was placed right at the top.

These are all my videos which is placed inside my folder. In order for me to start editing I had to select all these clips and it would have been highlighted blue and clicked import. The import button allows my videos to be opened and used in the premier pro software.

These are the steps i used to add titles onto a video, i clicked title at the top , then default still , then named my title then after i wrote the words in the box on the black screen.

Another way of adding videos was by opening the files at the same time , selecting them and dragging them into the project folder in the software . This was method was way quicker than importing the files.
